"From theatres to lounge bars, the city never sleeps. Apothke, my first night out in New York City. Actually, my first night in NYC right after I landed, ignoring the rest I needed after 20 hours of air travelling. Apothke is located in the “bloody angle” in Chinatown, which is known for its history of gangster violent. Without signage or noticeable doorway, Apothke is one of the secret hip downtown places to go. Always good to know the locals, the secret places, the hidden history; forget about the Statue of Liberty. I stood at the bar then I realized that was exactly how I imagine NYC would be. I captured the moment of my excitement about the vibrancy and the newness of the Big Apple. I sent a month in the 2 weeks in New York and another two weeks in California, it was amazing. Light started to lid after the last call of the bar, I wonder why the place looks so much nicer when it was dark. Sometimes nightlife is like a dream. Lots of fun, lots of memories, and a good time and back to reality on the following day."

I completed post-graduate education in the area of Town Planning, Urban Design and Sustainable Development. With this background, I developed an artistic sensitivity towards the relationship and interaction between people, nature and the built environment, which is fully explored in my photographic work.
